When you think of rum, you might picture a caramel-colored beverage fermented from sugarcane molasses, perhaps made by a distillery in the Caribbean. But today's rum market contains many types of rum that are made all over the world. Let us take you on a rum journey from the colonial past to the present day, learning about its fascinating history, how rum is made, and variety of styles (Light Rum, Gold Rum, Dark Rum, Black Rum, Spiced Rum, Navy Rum, Rhum Agricole, Cachaça).
We'll move on to tasting a variety of pre-selected rums, each showcasing the diversity of the category. Our aim is to help the enthusiastic rum lovers to understand more about this spirit, and hopefully come away from the evening with a newfound passion. You will taste 5 different rums from our selection of more than 100 brands - Plantation Pineapple Rum, Peaky Blinders Spiced Rum, Dead Man’s Fingers Hemp Rum, Saint James Rhum, Capucana Cachaça - as well as some delicious rum-based cocktails such as ‘Barrel Aged El Presidente’ or ‘Dark and Stormy’.
Rum and chocolates go perfectly together. Rum has plenty of intense notes that pair wonderfully with the creamy, woody and fruity (and so many more) flavors of chocolate. But let’s start from the cacao beans – you’ll learn about the different types of cacao beans around the world, and how chocolate is made. We’ll introduce you to a selection of premium single origin chocolates and explain you how to match them with different rums for the best tasting sensation.
Enjoy the rum while having the chocolate oils lingering on your palate.
You'll also receive 10% - 20% off our wide selection of premium rums, cocktail ingredients and bar tools to stock your home bar!
