Seven Seals Whisky “The Age of Virgo” is a limited edition release from the Swiss distillery Seven Seals, renowned for its innovative accelerated whisky maturation methods. This single malt whisky is presented in an elegant wooden box, with a volume of 50 cl and an alcohol content of 49.7%.
The aromatic profile features notes of red berries, dried figs, vanilla, caramel, citrus, and sugarcane, attributed to its finishing process in Sauternes wine casks. This maturation method contributes to a rich and layered flavor despite a shorter aging period, thanks to their patented “Fast Forward Finishing” process.
On the nose, Seven Seals The Age of Virgo is an elegant combination of vinous notes, red berries, dried figs and a combination of vanilla with crème brûlée, leading to a fruity and floral nose. On the palate, the berry notes are still prominent, but it surprises with citrus notes and a subtle taste of vanilla and caramel. With its smooth, medium length finish, accompanied by subtle cane sugar notes, The Age of Virgo displays a perfect combination of flavors that can only be found in a Sauternes finish.
