Butterfly Cannon Blue Tequila is a 40% ABV spirit crafted in Mexico at the Destiladora del Valle de Tequila. Made from 100% agave harvested at 7–8 years of age, the agave is baked in traditional steam ovens, then mashed, fermented, and distilled. The tequila is infused with clementine peel and prickly pear, and naturally colored using beets and butterfly pea flower, resulting in a vibrant violet-blue hue that transforms to a pinkish-purple when mixed with acidic ingredients like lime juice or tonic. On the nose, it offers fresh citrus aromas, particularly clementine and prickly pear. The palate features a medley of tropical and subtropical fruits, including strawberry, watermelon, honeydew melon, fig, and banana, complemented by a crisp agave undertone. The finish is long, rich, and refreshing. A portion of the proceeds supports the Monarch Butterfly Conservation Fund, reflecting the brand’s dedication to environmental preservation.
